Why does Yahoo have shady links on their front page

Why in the world would Yahoo allow such a thing

   

  Today, While doing what I do everyday, I came across an article on Yahoo's page about a ship that was lost 90 years ago, that has now just returned. It has a picture of an old pirate ship, so I was instantly hooked. Of course I clicked the link, that is on Yahoo's Front page labeled as sponsored.
 It looks a little something like this. Be very careful do not click on the image.

This is a scam or hack of some sort.






 I can not for the life of me figure out why, This hasn't been taken down from their page, or why it was allowed here.
  As soon as the link is clicked you are redirected to a scam banner. Then the pop-ups come piling in one after another.

   How many people does Yahoo have working for them.. By the looks of their office, I'd say more than enough to fix this issue.  I mean don't get me wrong, I have missed plenty of bad links and such on my sites.  However I am just one person with a lot on my plate. I don't have a whole team working for me, Nor do I have the layers of security that they have.  This is why I find it so surprising that this is even an issue to be dealing with.


I tried to contact Yahoo to inform them of this issue, I did not have any luck doing so. Which is why I am sending this blog out at the moment. I don't want to harm Yahoo's credit in any way.  Nor am I hear to bash them, For we have all made mistakes.  My only intentions is to keep you guys from having the same issues as I. Don't get stuck with 2 hours of debugging your system.
 Just stay away from the old ship and its sponsored ad.



   Don't get me wrong, I still have much respect for Yahoo and the work they do. With that said, I do believe that this is one person that will be making the switch to Google, even though I still will have that special place in my heart for my first real search engine Yahoo...
 For now so long old friend,
You served me well, You pointed me in the directions that I needed, and You were always there. It has been real, and it has been fun, Tho it wasn't always real fun. We laughed, and we cried, we both have grown, now it's time that I move on.. So Long.

Claims that Teens Birth Rates Have Hit An All Time Low

   Teen pregnancy rates are now lower than ever before, a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention out Thursday reveals, and it's not for the reason popular culture might lead you to suspect. While analysts do attribute the stark drop in teen birth rates — with, notably, a nearly 50 percent drop among Hispanic and black teens in particular — to better access to more effective contraception, and possibly better education on parenting, they also contend that teens today are simply having less sex. The Washington Post reports, Even though our mind set would have you think otherwise.

...teens — despite their portrayal in popular TV and movies as uninhibited and acting only on hormones — are having less sex.
'There has been a change in social norms that has happened in the past 20 years, and the idea of not having sex or delaying sex is now something that can be okay,' said Bill Albert, chief program officer for the National Campaign To Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. [The Washington Post]

   All in all, in the last 23 years teen birth rates have plummeted by 60 percent. In 1991, teen birth rates were 61.9 per 1,000. In 2014, teen pregnancies hit a low of 24.2 births per 1,000. Which I will personally content is a huge difference, Especially when we are talking about hundreds of those 1,000's. 

   Here at Stilllivin4now, we are not against having little ones by any means. In fact, My wife and I have 5 beautiful children, that mean the world to us. 
  I could insert the boring facts of how we met, and dated forever before getting married, and starting our family.  How we waited till we thought we were ready, planned it all out, and we lived happily ever-after.  

   We all know that isn't how things go, we did wait until I had what I thought was my dream job, and of course we were waiting until we thought we was ready. Though you're never ready for your first baby. Either way, we thought we was on the right path, before long we had another, then another, see a pattern here...  Not long after I had my last child number five (my boy by the way the first four were all girls), there must have been a major planet shift, that included the moon and the stars apparently. Because I lost my dream job.(this was my bread and butter, Kids and life are both very expensive) Everything but bankrupt in no time flat. Of course this is not an option when your a father and a husband. With that said it's time to dig deep and drive on.

   Planned or unplanned, Teens or full grown adults, Everyone will have challenges they must overcome along the way.  


   For what ever reason that teens birth rates have dropped we are grateful, we do hope that it's due to education and responsibility. 
  
   From both sides, Male and Female, these young fathers, and fathers to be. Have to stand up and take responsibility for their actions.
 Just maybe the reason for the drop is due to the fact that we are growing more responsible, the word gets out more each day. With social media sites like YouTube and Facebook. People deliver the message daily, Just as I am doing right now. 
   What ever it is, It is working, so we must keep up the hard work. If only this helps one young couple, it was all worth it. I'd type a million of these articles if it meant that one person each time was helped. (just the kinda of guy I am).

Starting and Running a Blog

                                         Making my way with just a thought and a blog.



   I have an Idea lets start a blog and earn cold hard cash with it.

   This was the plan, so I started working on it. First off I gathered all the info I could find, studied that info, and picked the place to call home. blogspot offers a free spot to call home.
 We quickly jumped on and started blogging. I have to admit I didn't think that it was going to work at first. However I kept at it, and before long. Things started to look up. It wasn't long before I was getting some hits and even getting a few followers to the site.
Now that I could see that it was possible to blog and get people to read your content, I really wondered if I could earn cash doing this. By this time I was all in, and posting almost everyday. Thinking that I was going to be stuck behind my computer until I made enough to come out of work mode. I thought that my life was over, or at least until I made it.  What I didn't expect was the fact that I have more fun than ever before, I have more time than I used to have, And I have met more new people along the way. This has been one of my most favorite things that has happened since I became a blogger. Here I thought that this was going to be a lonely life, sitting in front of my computer all alone just writing away.


 Meeting New People while at home?

 What I didn't expect was to meet new people, and even see a few faces along the way.

  Coming up with blog ideas, well lets face it, its not the easiest thing you can do. Probably not the hardest, but I promise it isn't that easy either.

 Once one has the hang of it, you can do ok along the way. I mean if you find your stride and go with it. Or you could end up like the rest of us.
  With nothing to talk about, and even less to put on paper.
  I find that I can have millions of ideas, Until I sit down at my computer. Then just like that they are gone. Not a single trace of idea left in my mind.

 When this happens to me, I usually fix my issue by changing something up. (this is where working at home helps you so much)

 Take a break, play with my kids, go mess with the dog. Do something to change your thoughts, even if its just for a minute or two.  After that come back and try again, I find that I can usually muster out a nice piece of work after I take my break for a few minutes.

  Another thing that helps me is googling imagines. When I am completely blank and can not think of anything to write, I go and look through the imagines online. You'd be surprised what you will find that will inspire your thoughts..

It could be anything that can trigger an idea. It doesn't even have to have anything to do with the picture that brought the idea to your head. (It's funny how this will work sometimes).

   It works for smells so why wouldn't it work for sight?

Smells can bring back memories or even just cause you to have an image in your thoughts. So why wouldn't a sight do the same. 
 And of course the answer is it does and it will. We all know this as we all have a photo album some where or another.

  Which isn't a bad thing to keep around when your out of ideas, Don't get me wrong, I am not saying to use your past to make your blog. I am saying to use these as tools to help relax your mind. So it can do what it needs to do (think).
A relaxed mind is more productive than one with a stressed mind...

It's free what do you have to lose? 

So what are you waiting for, go sign up for your free blog account. (it doesn't matter where you start it). Just as long as you start it, post at least once a week. I post daily, Sometimes twice a day depending on the size of my post. 

What is the worst that can happen, you waste some of your time. What if you do good, Which you will never know if you don't try.  If you were to do well, You could earn a decent amount of cash every month, just like clock work. 

Which you will never know, If you never try...

Either way you go. You will have to try before you know whether it is worth it or not, or whether its for you or not.

Following the blog

I have had a few requests to make it easier to follow my blog since some of you don't use live feeds, or don't know how to use live feeds. (RSS) 

So I went into this beast and edited it. Now, as you can see to the right, You may now follow with ease.

Even though it's crazy for me to follow myself, I went ahead and followed myself anyway so you could see what it looks like after you start following.

With that said, I want to Thank each and every one of you who has stuck it out with me through the thick and the thin.  If it wasn't for your support I know I would have caved long ago. Will make you want to leave the lights on!

   Well, It's about time that we have a new horror movie coming out that doesn't make me want to stick my head in a blender. If you are a horror movie fan then you know what I mean. It's been so long since I have seen a really good horror movie that I have forgotten what it should feel like. That's truly horrible I must say. However, all that is about to change as I have just watch the best trailer I have seen in a long, long time. You can bet that I will be in the back of the theater with my over priced, over sized, extra buttered popcorn just as soon as they sell me a ticket.  The best part is, after you guys watch the trailer below, I am sure that I will not be alone in the theater for this up coming movie, like I have for so many of the others that have been released inside of the last 5 years. 
     

 (If you have time, I am wondering what others think about the trailer, whether they would keep it, or sweep it, Go to the movies to see it, or wait for it to come out on  Blue ray. Is the movie a waste of time, or just a joke.  All comments are encouraged and welcomed, Thanks you in advance)

     As you can see from the trailer, Lights Out centers on a young boy named Martin and his older sister Rebecca. Over time the two realize that whenever the lights go out, they can see a woman lurking in the shadows. They begin the investigate the strange phenomenon going on around them, and eventually find out that it has something to do with a mysterious event from their mother’s past that feeds on the fear of those it hunts. As they slowly unravel the mystery buried in the past, they start to understand that all of their lives are in danger, as something will come for them whenever – as you probably could guess – the lights go out.

   Lights Out seems to capitalize on the nearly universal fear we all have of the dark, which makes sense considering James Wan (the mastermind behind The Conjuring, Saw, and Insidious) has a hand in producing the film. One of the things that makes the trailer work so well is the fact that the movie really keeps the mysterious specter hidden in the shadows as it picks people off one by one. We never get a good look at the film’s central monster, so we allow our brains to fill in what might be out there. Our main hope is that the movie itself will remember how effective this tactic is, and keep the monster hidden from view in order to allow our imaginations to run wild. All while smacking us with those in your face scares that really get your blood pumping.  Meanwhile the imagination is busy trying to sort out what is in the shadows. Seriously, a silhouette has never been so damn terrifying.

One of the things worth noting about Lights Out is the fact that the film’s young protagonist named Martin seems incredibly mature. Numerous recent horror films such as Goodnight Mommy and The Babadook have revolved around child protagonists, but depicted them as immature, misguided, or generally helpless. (which if you are like myself then you find this so annoying) In Lights Out, Martin seems to be on the same page, and at the very least he is able to contribute when the adults finally figure out what’s going on. It’s a small detail, but one that makes the whole move that much better.
 
  I do believe that they are releasing more information on June 22nd.. Come back then to find out where and when you can see this on the big screen. As always my friends, it has been a pleasure blogging with you guys, even more so with the topic being a horror movie.

   To be honest I don't think I know anyone that doesn't want to work for their selves in one way or another. This day and age, Its almost a requirement that you work for yourself, otherwise your making someone else rich, or paying for someone's house.. To that I say No THANK YOU...

The best Rice Krispies in the World

Rice Krispies treats

Every one loves em. So why wait to make them, They are so easy to make, and you probably have what you need at home already. So go look in the kitchen and see what you got, if you don't have what you need, add it to you list now of things to get at the market.

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1 package (10 oz., about 40) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows
• OR
• 4 cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
• 6 cups Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal

Directions

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.


MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

     ( Directions: Below will be a series of unrelated pictures with out text, these pictures will tell the story, keep in mind that the pictures may not be by the same artist, so they won't look the same, however the story will still fit, your job is to write the story that the pictures influenced for you in comments section. It's always fun to see how different people interpret the same things very differently.  We have done a few variations of this in the past on a couple different web sites, and has both worked and failed.  Don't forget to write the story from your point of view in the comments section. The more people that will add their version the better this gets. I know I will be looking forward to seeing what others come up with in their stories. Some of the other picture stories that we done in the past, turned out to be more than we ever expected. The best part was seeing others put their imaginations on paper, to me that is the best reward anyone could ask for.
